We celebrate the wonderfully diverse reading interests of our community! While we do our best to keep a wide selection available on our shelves, we understand we cannot possibly stock every title printed. To help you find your perfect book, we're delighted to offer our Special Order service.
How To Submit a Special Order
- Request Your Book: Visit our store or use the form on this page to request one or more books.
- Availability Check: We will research your request to confirm availability of the title(s) through our network of publishers and distributors. We try to source a trade-quality softcover edition whenever available. If a softcover version is not in print or readily accessible, we will look for the hardcover edition.
- Your Confirmation: Before we submit your order, we'll send you a payment link via email wich shows the cost per item as well as taxes. We do not charge an additional fee for this service. You can review each item and pricing before you pay. You will choose whether to pick up your order in our store or have your items shipped to you.
- Placing the Order: After you submit payment, we will promptly submit the order to our suppliers.
- Arrival Time: We strive to get your books to you quickly! Please allow 5 to 7 business days for your order to arrive at our store. Independently published titles and print-on-demand titles may take 10 to 15 business days to arrive. We appreciate your patience, as shipping times can vary.
- Getting Your Book: If you chose in-store pickup, we will send you an email once items arrive at our store. You can then visit anytime we're open to retrieve the order. If you chose delivery, we will pack and ship your order; you will receive tracking information once the package is dispatched. Please see our Shipping Policy for more information.
Our Special Order Return Policy
Because items ordered through our Special Order service are procured specifically at your request, we are generally unable to accept returns or exchanges on these items. That said, we stand behind the quality of the books we source. Therefore, we accept returns if an item unfortunately arrives damaged in transit or has a significant misprint or manufacturing defect. Should this occur, please notify us immediately upon receiving your order so we can make things right.
